Hope you Guys had a relaxing weekend and are not still feeling any of the effects of the recent Hurricane Irma!
Not to mention Harvey and all the devastation that occurred.
So I just wanted to mention that my thoughts & prayers go out to all those effected by the recent disasters.
And since I have family in the Charleston, SC area & Florida, needless to say they were all heavy on my mind.
But everyone is good and I’m definitely thankful for that!
Anyway let’s get back to this Authentic Homemade Pico De Gallo.
Cause Guys this is one you definitely need to add to your rotation of recipes..easy, flavorful, and great on soooo many things!
Hence the reason I make this one on a regular basis. Well that and the fact that it seems to be a favorite for almost everyone.
And made with fresh healthy ingredients you’ll definitely feel good about serving this one up to the family & friends.
And it really does come together fairly quickly & with only a few ingredients, so it makes the perfect last minute appetizer or topping to throw together.
But like I mentioned this Authentic Homemade Pico De Gallo is not just for tacos, it’s also great served…
- on Mexican Pizza
- topped on Eggs
- on a bed of lettuce for a light salad
- on wraps & burgers
- just on chips as an appetizer
Anyway with football season starting and the holiday’s quickly approaching us, I just thought this would be the perfect time to share this one since it’s super Easy to prepare.

- 6 medium/large roma tomatoes finely diced
- 1 small red onion finely chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic finely minced
- 2 jalapenos seeds removed and finely diced
- large handful of cilantro finely chopped
- juice of 1 lime
- salt & pepper to taste
Add all of the above ingredients to large serving bowl and combine.
Adjust salt & pepper according to taste.
Better if allowed to set at least 30 minutes prior to serving.
Can be stored in airtight container in fridge for up to five days.
