Strawberry Milkshake in a glass with a straw and garnished with a fresh strawberry. Bowl of strawberries in the background.

An easy Strawberry Milkshake that's perfect this time of year for so many reasons!

REFRESHING, plump juicy strawberries in season now and it comes together super quickly.

So when you can make an easy 3 ingredient shake that's guilt-free...

And with ingredients you probably keep on hand, then I'm sure you'll want to add this to your rotation of heathy snacks!

Along with these Fruit Popsicles and Strawberry Ice Cream which we like to serve during the warm summer months!

    INGREDIENTS FOR STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE

    • Strawberries- you can use fresh or frozen berries
    • Bananas
    • Almond Milk

Strawberry Milkshake ingredients which includes bananas and strawberries

    HOW TO MAKE THIS SHAKE

First you'll need to make sure you have frozen bananas ready to go. I almost always have a bag of them in my freezer for various recipes.

But if you need to freeze them the best method is to slice them into bite sized pieces and then place in a freezer safe bag.

It takes approximately 2 hours to freeze bananas and you can store them in the freezer for about 2-3 months for optimal flavor.

Once you have all the ingredients ready it goes fairly quickly.

Just place the frozen bananas, strawberries and almond milk in a high powered blender and puree till smooth and creamy!

    RECIPE NOTES

Make sure the bananas are really ripe before freezing for optimal flavor.

So when the bananas on your counter are starting to turn brown that's when you want to freeze them for recipes.

You can use frozen strawberries for a thicker shake or you can even freeze fresh ones yourself.

If the shake is too thin you can just add more ice till you get the desired thickness... or more milk to make it thiner.

You could also substitute the almond milk with another plant based milk such as cashew or coconut milk.
