Should you use red or green grapes?
You could actually use either… just make sure they’re seedless.
I prefer to use red grapes over the green ones since…..
They tend to be a little sweeter and are thought to have greater health benefits than the green ones.
Red grapes are considered a healthier choice since the skin of the grapes contain antioxidants that are known for fighting disease.
Probably the same reason they say red wine 🍷 is better for you than white.
Anywho, this salad is definitely a tasty way to get in a serving of fruit when you’re looking to snazy it up a bit! 😉
Should I add pecans to this easy grape salad recipe?
This is totally optional but recommended for the crunch factor and added protein.
You could also substitute a different kind of nut if you prefer…. such as walnuts, cashews or whatever you have on hand.

Creamy Grape Salad (GF & Refined Sugar Free)
- 2 lbs. red seedless grapes
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp. pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cups chopped pecans
- In large mixing bowl add softened cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla extract and maple syrup and combine with hand mixer till smooth and creamy.
- Fold in rinsed grapes.
- Top with chopped pecans prior to serving.
