Warm Creamy Spinach Dip is the perfect appetizer to serve at gatherings or parties. It's always a crowd pleaser that is both Vegetarian and Gluten Free.

    Warm Creamy Spinach Dip

I wanted to share at least one more appetizer before the big game day that you could serve up. I actually don't just reserve these appetizers for game days.

    HOT SPINACH DIP

Is such an easy spinach dip recipe to make for games, parties or entertaining. It's a dip that's creamy and delicious served with chips, bread or crackers.

It's also great anytime you're having guests cause you can make this or other dips up ahead of time and have them ready to go.

Of course I make them for myself and my husband anytime cause we're Snackers and love to have different things readily available and this Warm Creamy Spinach Dip is one of our families favorites.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR WARM SPINACH DIP

    • Spinach leaves
    • Butter
    • Cream Cheese
    • Garlic
    • Onion
    • Mozzarella Cheese
    • Parmesan Cheese
    • Sour Cream
    • Half & Half Cream
    • Seasoning

    Warm Creamy Spinach Dip

Anyway I hope you'll try this dip but you may want to double the recipe cause it tends to go fast.

I made this over the holidays and could have easily doubled the batch without any leftovers.

And it's always nice to have some dips readily available for times when you're just looking for a quick snack.

Another one of my favorites is Black Eyed Pea Hummus.

I'm always trying new versions and try to make them as easy as possible. I did use fresh spinach in this one (cause fresh is always better) but you could also use frozen spinach.

I added 8 ounces of cream cheese on accident! And tip on what I could do to help? It’s really cheesy and gooey now

Hi Jessica, I would try sautéing more onion, garlic and spinach and add that to the dip! Hope that helps! Let me know how it turns out.

Can I substitute the 1/2 & 1/2? If so what do you think would work?

Hi Daisy, I would suggest if you need to substitute the half & half try using Whole Milk.

Do you think it'd be alright to make overnight for a potluck

Hi Karina, you can definitely make this ahead if that's what you're asking. Just allow to cool slightly before refrigerating and warm right before the potluck or right before serving.

I love it. Used fat free cream cheese and 2tbs of low fat shredded mozzarella cheese. Ate it with homemade sour cream biscuits. Really delicious !!!

Hi Deborah, that should work perfectly fine. Once you do the preliminary steps, when it comes time to put it in the oven just put it in the crock pot on low for approximately 4 hours or high for about 1 1/2 hours. Let me know how it works out for you 😉

I’m thinking of using this dip, add, some artichoke, grill a portabella mushroom, then put the dip in there. That would be really low carb and yummy don’t ya think?

Can this be frozen? How long would it last in the fridge with fresh ingredients? I made a double batch for a night with friends, but had to cancel. My hubby and I definitely can’t eat it by ourselves.

Hi Rachael, I've never tried freezing this so I'm not sure how that would work. I have kept it in the fridge for up to a week without any problem. Just re-heat as needed. It's really good on so many things so you could also try using it as a topping on say baked potatoes or other things and make a meal out of it...Hope this helps 🙂 Let me know if you try freezing it!

Thanks Cynthia. And yes you can definitely do that! I've done that many times. Just warm it up around 250 degrees for about 10-15 minutes till creamy again.

It just means to break it up into little small bite sized pieces. Kind of like you would dot butter. It just makes melting it and mixing it so much easier. Let me know if this helps 🙂
