- Olive oil- make sure to use a good quality extra virgin olive oil.
- Garlic- finely mince the garlic and you can adjust the amount based on your preferences.
- Spices- red chili pepper flakes, minced onion, oregano, basil, & thyme.
optional- I like to add a little pink himalayan sea salt & freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
How to make bread dipping oil
- Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.
- Add minced garlic and seasonings to a glass jar or bowl.
- Pour olive oil in jar and stir.
Recipe tips & notes
I recommend making it about 30 minutes in advance, which allows for the seasoning to blend with the oil.
Store any leftovers in the fridge in a covered container for up to 5 days.
Remove from fridge and bring to room temperature any refrigerated oil. You can also add a little more olive oil to the dipping oil to liquify it.

My sister is highly allergic to garlic & I love it. For the last 5 years I haven't been able to put it in any of my baking, because of her allergy. Just made this yesterday and have it in a little jar. Already used it to dip my Rosemary Bread in and OMG! I was in Heaven! Now, if I could just come up with a Copycat recipe for, "Against The Grain's Gourmet Fresh Rosemary Frozen Gluten Free Baguettes" They have Rosemary & Cheese in them and were made for this. Thanks for another great recipe.

Garlic lover here! But I don't even know why I never make garlic oil! at home. I always enjoy it at the restaurants though. So easy. I need to include it into my appetizer menu next time we have guest over.

This would be dangerous at my house - because in eating all the dipping oil I'd eat a whole loaf of bread in the process, LOL I think I still need to try it though 🙂

I am indeed a garlic lover! This looks amazing and yes, I would use it on SO MANY things. I think I would especially love it just to dip my bread into. Perfection.
