This Creamy Dill Pickle Dip is perfect for chips, veggies or even as a spread. Cheese and Pickles have always been two of my favorite foods so I’m not sure why I never made this combination before.
I kind of snacked on this stuff throughout the entire Memorial Day weekend trying to come up with the perfect flavor combination.
And to top it all of I made my poor husband keep tasting it. What a tough job he has. Snacking on it is the key though. My theory is moderation and enjoy the flavors.
Anyway, it definitely met both of our approvals and so now I’m sharing it with you guys. Besides coming up with this, nothing really exciting to share about the Memorial Day weekend.
But I must admit to a foodie like me creating new tasty dips to add into the mix is pretty darn exciting. Especially when you include a glass of Wine with the mix.So did you guys do anything exciting over the Memorial Day weekend worth sharing? I’d love to hear some of your favorite dips or grilling out foods.
It was kind of a rainy dreary day here yesterday so didn’t do any grilling out but maybe might try to this evening. I love grilling out and throwing as many tasty veggies on the grill as possible.
While writing this post I heard from my daughter Samantha and my adopted daughter’s Amanda and Nichole. It was pretty exciting because after 30 years they are finally coming to me for advice. But anyway I hope I can help them some with their healthy eating and fitness goals. I’ll keep you guys updated in the near future.
This dip can be included in a healthy diet, like I said before, moderation is the key to a lot of things.
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- ½ cup mayo
- 2 dill pickle spears (1/3 cup chopped)
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ¼ tsp. onion powder
- ¼ tsp. dried dill weed(plus a little for topping)
- 1 tsp. minced onion flakes
- couple dashes of hot sauce
- Put softened cream cheese and mayo in bowl and combine well.
- Add dill pickles, seasonings and mix well.
- Better if allowed to chill at least 1 hour prior to serving.
I would seriously be tempted to eat the whole bowl so I make limited portions.
